Inmaculado Corazón de María

Después de celebrar la solemnidad del Sagrado Corazón de Jesús hacemos la conmemoración del Inmaculado Corazón de la Virgen María.

Hay una concordia natural —una especie de entendimiento secreto—entre el hijo y la madre. Quizá pensaba en eso aquella mujer que alabó a Jesús diciendo «dichoso el vientre que te llevó y los pechos que te criaron». Pero hay una concordia sobrenatural, perfecta, que es fruto del Espíritu Santo y que unió desde el principio y une en la eternidad los corazones de Jesús y de María. Por eso sus Nombres están siempre juntos en nuestros labios y en nuestros corazones. 

Consagrarnos al Inmaculado Corazón de María es también hacernos niños para crecer, como Jesús, junto o a Ella. 

Pedimos por su intercesión que el mismo Dios que preparó en Ella una digna morada al Espíritu Santo nos conceda ser templos dignos de su gloria.

Immaculate Heart of Mary

After celebrating the Solemnity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, we commemorate the Immaculate Heart of the Virgin Mary.

There is a natural concord — a kind of secret understanding — between mother and child. Perhaps that woman who praised Jesus saying "blessed is the mother who gave you birth and nursed you" was thinking about it. But there is a supernatural, perfect concord, which is the fruit of the Holy Spirit and which united from the beginning and unites in eternity the Hearts of Jesus and Mary. That is why Their Names are always together on our lips and in our hearts.

To consecrate ourselves to the Immaculate Heart of Mary is also to make ourselves like children and so, grow, like Jesus, close to Her. 

We ask through Her intercession that the same God who prepared in Her Heart a worthy abode to the Holy Spirit grant us to be temples worthy of his glory.
