Jueves de la séptima semana de Pascua

«Padre santo, no sólo por ellos ruego, sino también por los que crean en mí por la palabra de ellos, para que todos sean uno, como tú, Padre, en mí, y yo en ti, que ellos también lo sean en nosotros, para que el mundo crea que tú me has enviado».

Seguimos con la lectura de la oración sacerdotal de Jesús. Los apóstoles han creído en él y otros creerán en él por el testimonio de los apóstoles. Jesús ruega por todos, también por nosotros, pidiendo a la Padre que nos guarde en la unidad.

«Una ciudad dividida no puede subsistir», dijo Jesús. El diablo, que lo sabe, trabaja para dividir la Iglesia y enfrentarnos a todos. 

Dedicamos los jueves de un modo especial a la Eucaristía, sacramento de unidad. Esta tarde, a las seis, exprondemos el Santísimo para adorarlo, convencidos de que, también esos actos de adoración son victorias de la fe sobre el mundo. 

La unidad de la Iglesia no se conseguirá ni se mantendrá con esfuerzos humanos si esos esfuerzos no van precedidos, acompañados y seguidos por la adoración y el reconocimiento de Dios, Uno y Trino. 

Santa María, hija de Dios Padre, Madre de Dios Hijo, Esposa del espíritu Santo, ruega por nosotros.

Thursday of the seventh week of Easter

“My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in Me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as You are in Me and I am in You. May they also be in Us so that the world may believe that You have sent Me."

We continue with the reading of the priestly prayer of Jesus. The apostles have believed in Him and others will believe in Him because of the testimony of the apostles. Jesus prays for everyone, also for us, asking the Father to keep us in unity.

"A divided city cannot survive," said Jesus. The devil, who knows it, works to divide the Church and to put us against each other.

We dedicate Thursdays in a special way to the Eucharist, the sacrament of unity. This afternoon, at six o'clock, we´ll expose the Blessed Sacrament to adore It, convinced that these acts of adoration are also victories of faith over the world.

Unity will not be achieved or sustained with human efforts if those efforts are not preceded, accompanied and followed by the adoration and recognition of the Triune God.

Holy Mary, Daughter of God the Father, Mother of God the Son, Bride of the Holy Spirit, pray for us.
